Fashion Show @ Pyramid

A Fashion Show and Model Shoot organized by Nikon at Sunway Pyramid. Thanks to the Roxy Summer Splash which held on the same day, if it wasn't too packed to go in, I wouldn't have the chance to shoot this and experienced my first time of Model Shoot.




Below are some closer shots that I covered, all were shot using the Softener Filter, really had a hard time getting the focus right manually! Arrgg.... But anyway, I guess they still look acceptable in this size. :P
No flash was use, and now I noticed the shadows parts are quite bad, especially the eyes area. No choice, didn't have a speedlite yet that time... Hope that my next one will be different! :D

The Model Shoot @ Pyramid

So here are the photos from the Model Shoot after the Fashion Show session. I am so thankful for the opportunity to shoot these models in close and for their very professionals cooperation. It was my first time, definitely a fun and exciting moment having the shoot with these pretty ladies. And it was free! :D

My baby niece, Natalie.

My parents came to KL last weekend and we visited my cousin, who just gave birth to a baby girl, Natalie. Look at these photos, Natalie is so tiny and cute! :) And my mum was really excited carrying this baby girl until unwilling to leave... haha~

上个拜五帮公司拍了一些照片供即将诞生的公司网站使用.
一大堆摆pose的照片,超搞笑!
当时也兴起拍了一组我这一位同事(Haozilla)的重叠照,然后放工前花了一点时间做后制.
当然这纯粹只是玩玩的,所以放在这里和大家分享分享!

Softener Filter test-out

Bought this Hoya Softener(A) Filter for only RM10 from the cash converter shop. The glass is clean, no scratches. Thanks Kelvin for bringing me there! :)

Here are some test-result from the filter.

Obviously with the Softener filter attached, the picture would looks more dreamy. And it gives a very subtle glowing effect especially on the highlights.

I think it will works well for the portraits, so I tried a couple shots with Xiang.

You can see besides from the dreamy effect, the filter also smooths up the face pretty well, it washes out the small details and yet the focus remain very sharp. The only problem is the auto focusing is quite difficult to achieve, so you need to manually focus when the filter is attached. Other than that, it's definitely a great filter at RM10! :D

Roxy Summer Splash 2008

Received a few tickets from Quiksilver and we were so excited to be at Sunway Lagoon on last Saturday for the Roxy Summer Splash. However, when we reached there around 1pm, something had stopped us from going in. If you were there you probably know why...

We had our shopping in Sunway Pyramid instead but for every few hours I went back for capturing these shots at the hotel's entrance and car park.

These people are really "passionate", they waited for the whole day just because of the free entry into Sunway Lagoon. For some who had given up like us, had their shopping inside Sunway Pyramid, so for the first time in Pyramid, I saw sooo many Quikboy and Roxygirl, as well as other beach boys and girls walking inside the mall!!

What a beach shopping day...

Not only because the place is well-known, but also because I had taken the pictures so don't waste it to share here. :P

First is this so call "the Big Tree" restaurant located behind the "Kei Tak Sek" in KL. Introduced by Cheh Theng, who came down to KL recently and brought me there.

What I like most: The Wrapping Chicken, that's how I call... hehe (Pic no.4)












2nd place is this Fong Lye Taiwanese Restaurant, located inside Garden shopping mall. Simon wanted to buy his art book so we went to the Garden. I remember Fong Lye is always lined up with people, plus Cheh Theng recommended me of it's Peanut Butter Ice so I was very keen to try it.

What I like most: Obviously, the Peanut Butter Ice. Cold and sweet!! (Pic no.3)
