希望之谷 The Valley of Hope

第一次认识希望之谷是在Seng Kit的部落格，知道这个地方即将会被拆除后，都一直没有机会去走一趟。 一直到有一次Kelvin建议到那里拍照，我就毫不犹豫的答应了。在网上查了地图，星期天一早，我们约了Wee Seng后，就浩浩荡荡驾车前往这个闻名已久的地方。

希望之谷-雪州双溪糯麻风病院 (Sungai Buloh Leprosy Settlement) 对我而言，是一个很陌生的地方。这个地方的居民多以种花种草来卖为生，许多人也闻名而来这里买花，但又有多少人知道，在这花园的后面，藏着这一个即将遗失的文化遗产。

那一天我只带了一架菲林单眼相机，上了一卷黑白底片。

由于对这个地方不熟悉的关系，我们走了大半天也没真正进到麻风病院里头。天色开始暗了，我想象中的画面也没如愿的拍到就离开了。

走后，我只能期望说下一次回来的时候，它还会在...

    Edmund, good eye on spotting the round corner...haha~

    I got the round corner idea when I scan my negative full frame. I noticed the edge itself is round and feel like old picture. I tend to scan out together with the round corner frame but somehow the color all offset after scanned out. So I duplicated the frame in photoshop.

    As for your question how to get that old picture's feel. I think old pictures should be abit washed out and less contrast, means we hardly see a pure black or pure white in the picture. So I figured out a way, and it's very simple: in your curve setting,
    1) Pull down the highlight
    2) Drag up the mid-tone
    3) Drag up the shadow if necessary
    Thats all. :)

    菲林单眼相机，是Film Single Lens Reflect (SLR)。

    至于为什么这个地方要被拆毁，我也不大清楚啦~哈哈~应该是久了，要建新的工程吧.
